Patients with microscopic polyangiitis and Wegener's granulomatosis are more likely to have ANCA-PR3 positive. Patients with microscopic polyangiitis, vasculitis, and auto-immune diseases are also shown to have ANCA-MPO positive.

What does ANCA stand for?

An ANCA test is a blood examination that checks your blood for antineutrophil cytoplasmic antibodies (ANCAs).

Types:

Testing can reveal whether you have one of the two main kinds of ANCA or both:

• cANCA: Aims for the protein proteinase 3. (PR3).
• Myeloperoxidase is a protein that is targeted by pANCA (MPO).

Polyangiitis:
