What is Biotinidase Activity Quantitative Test?

The biotinidase test is used to diagnose biotinidase deficiency, which is an autosomal recessive disorder caused by mutations in the biotinidase gene (BTD). BIOT is a genetic disorder that causes the body to be unable to reuse and recycle the vitamin biotin. This condition can be detected in both new born and adults.
