Procedure

  • A phlebotomist will find a vein by tying your arm with a rubber band.
  • Then they will clean your hand using a cotton and disinfectant to prevent the infections
  • After this a new needle will be inserted into your arm and the blood is collected for the further analysis of the sugar level in the blood.
  • In the end the band will be removed and the bandage is put on the site from where the blood is drawn
