Many types of EEG are available nowadays including:
- Routine EEG: In most cases, a routine EEG is performed which takes around 30 mins.
- Prolonged EEG: In some situations, a prolonged EEG may be required which takes more than 60 mins. It provides more informations compared to a routine EEG.
- Video EEG: Video is recorded while conducting EEG to notice your body motions when there is any brain event or seizures.
- Ambulatory EEG: Ambulatory EEG may be performed in-home or at EEG monitoring centers. It may be continued for days. You can do most of your daily activities while this test.
