NCCT Chest stands for non-contrast computed tomography of the chest. This medical imaging procedure uses X-Rays and computer technology to create detailed images of the chest without the use of a contrast agent. NCCT Chest scans are commonly used to diagnose and evaluate a variety of conditions affecting the chest, such as lung cancer, pneumonia, pulmonary embolism, and chest trauma. The images produced by NCCT chest scans can provide detailed information about the size, shape, and location of abnormalities in the chest, which can help doctors make accurate diagnoses and develop appropriate treatment plans.

During NCCT Chest scan, the patient lies on a table that move through a large doughnut-shaped machine called a CT scanner. The CT scanner uses X-Rays to take multiple images of the chest from different angles. which are then combined by computer software to create a detailed, three-dimensional image of the chest. The entire procedure typically takes 15-30 minutes and is generally painless.
