How does one prepare for the test? 

• Eat normally until six hours before your scan.
• If you have diabetes and need insulin, speak with your diabetes care provider. Because you won't eat for 6 hours before the CT scan, you may need to modify your insulin.
• If you typically take aspirin or other anticoagulant drugs (blood thinners), follow the Imaging Services scheduling staff's recommendations for not taking it. They've verified with our clinic doctors to see if you're eligible.
