GE Light Speed VCT is known to be a whole-body CT scanner that is designed to produce an Advanced Cardiac and Neuro images using SnapShot Pulse™.  This scanner is used on the VolumeShuttle™ acquisition technique which would enable around 80 mm of the volume coverage.

Strength

• This system has been used as the industry’s first CT scanner to further maintain an outstanding image quality, which would be able to reduce patient’s radiation exposure which is up to a level of 70%.
• GE VCT 64 is seen to capture images of the beating heart in about five heartbeats or to capture the image of an organ in a second.
• It is also seen to perform whole body trauma imaging in about ten second’s time. This is considered to be more than twice as fast as conventional multi-slice CT scanners. 
• It has a sub-millimeter resolution that offers the spectacular views of veins and the arteries of the body.
