Hemiseptal Neglect

Individuals are unable to perceive or attend to one side of their visual or sensory field, usually the left side of the body. This condition is most commonly associated with stroke or other brain injuries affecting the right hemisphere of the brain. The prevalence of hemispatial neglect is estimated to be between 30-50% of stroke patients and can significantly impact an individual's ability to perform daily tasks and participate in social activities.
