Hemoglobin (Hb) D-Iran Test Cost & Procedure

What is Hemophilia?

Hemoglobin Test Objectives:

• Blood can be taken from an infant's heel using a very little needle (lancet).
• The upper arm is wrapped in an elastic band (tourniquet) to apply pressure and make the veins bulge with blood before the blood is drawn from the vein.

Techniques for Hemoglobin Tests:

• Typically, the specialist draws blood from a vein to administer the test.
• An infant's heel can be used to draw blood using a little needle (lancet).
• An elastic band (tourniquet) is wrapped around the upper arm to exert pressure and cause the veins to swell with blood before blood is extracted from the vein.
• The skin is then cleaned with an antiseptic before the needle is inserted and blood is collected from the vein.
• Both the band and the needle are removed after this surgery. The specialist will apply a bandage or cotton to halt the bleeding.
