The quantitative span of this assay is 3.2- 8.2 log IU/mL (1,800 - 180,000,000 IU/mL).

An adverse result does not rule out the existence of PCR inhibitors in the patient sample or HEV RNA concentrations below the status of detection of the examination.  Inhibition may also oversee a devaluation of viral quantitation.
