What is the CD20 Test?

The MS4A1 gene in humans codes for the protein CD20. Members of this emerging protein family share similar intron/exon splice boundaries and structural characteristics, and they exhibit distinct expression patterns in hematopoietic cells and non-lymphoid organs. This gene contributes to the maturation and transformation of B cells into plasma cells by encoding a B-lymphocyte surface molecule. This family member is part of a group of family members localized to 11q12.

CD20 Test Applications

• Quantitatively measuring therapeutic B-cell depletion (absolute counts of cells/mMCL in any clinical setting, including the treatment of acute humoral rejection in patients with favorable, crossmatch renal transplants.

How to Perform the CD20 Test?
