This test is performed to check the deficiency of IgG in the blood. It is a standard laboratory Test. It is done in patients having immunodeficiency but normal levels of IgG.

What are Immunoglobulins?

These are glycoproteins produced by blood cells in answer to an allergen.

It has two types of chains

  • Heavy chain
  • Light Chain

It has delta-heavy chains and is found on the B Cells' surfaces.

Types of immunoglobulin

IgD:
