What is Metachromatic leukodystrophy Test?

Metachromatic leukodystrophy is an inherited disorder characterised by sulfatide accumulation in cells. This accumulation has a particular impact on nervous system cells that produce myelin, the substance that insulates and protects nerves. White matter is a tissue made up of nerve cells covered in myelin.
