CECT Upper Abdomen Test

CECT Upper Abdomen Test

CECT Upper Abdomen is a contrast study of the upper abdomen used to visualise the internal organs and their disease state.
An abdominal CT scan takes pictures of the liver, spleen, kidneys, bladder, stomach, intestines, pancreas, and adrenal glands, blood vessels, and lymph nodes
using a special X-ray machine.
Doctors recommend this scan to look for any underlying problems in the upper abdomen, such as:
* Acute abdominal pain
* Appendicitis
* Crohn's Disease
* Injury to internal organs
In this examination, you may have to remove your jewellery and any metal objects. You may need to bring
a blood urea and creatinine report.
The scan requires 4-6 hours of fasting. Before the scan, you may be given an oral contrast. If you are given
oral contrast, you must wait 60-90 minutes before lying supine on a table with your arms on the sides and
contrast injected into your arm through an IV line before the scan is performed.

A CECT (Contrast Enhanced Computed Tomography) Upper Abdomen Test is typically performed in a hospital's radiology department or an
outpatient imaging facility. So, for the best services and reliable results, schedule your test at Ganesh Diagnostic in Yamuna Vihar.
