Gestational Glucose Tolerance (GTT-3) Test Cost & Procedure

Pregnant women in their 24th week are advised to get a gestational glucose test. It is done to evaluate how quickly the body breaks down sugar. Preparation for the Gestational Glucose Tolerance Test-3:

The patient must refrain from eating or drinking anything other than water from 8 to 12 hours before pbeforethe test until it is concluded. Gestational Glucose Tolerance: 3 Applications:

• Each sample's typical blood sugar levels are Typical 1: 95 mg/l, 180 mg/l for Sample 2. 155 mg/l in Sample 3. 140 mg/l for Sample 4.
• The patient is diagnosed with gestational diabetes if two out of four samples are above the normal range.

Gestational Glucose Tolerance Protocol - 3 Test:

• The steps are as follows, and the test takes a little longer than typical tests: A blood sample (sample 1) will be taken from the patient initially.
• The Baseline Level is the blood sugar level found in sample 1. 75g of sugar will be added to the patient's solution.
• A second blood sample (sample 2) will be taken after an hour.
• A third sample (sample 3) will be accepted after an additional hour (2 hours).
• The patient will be instructed to consume an 1100-sugar solution. The blood will be collected for sample 4 after an additional hour (3 hours).
• Blood sugar levels will be assessed for each of the 4 samples.
